What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a site asks your browser to keep, so a later visit can recognise a choice or a session. Local storage is a related place in the browser, not sent with every request in the same way, but still a store you can clear. We use both for a single purpose: remembering whether you accepted or rejected this notice.
Types we use
Essential storage records the consent choice. The site does not set an analytics cookie, an advertising cookie, or a login session. Rejecting the notice does not lock any page, form, or journal note. Accepting it does not turn on extra tracking. Either choice only dismisses the banner.
Storage table
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| pw_consent | First-party cookie storing accept or reject | 180 days | Percept Weavepoint Academy |
| percept-weavepoint-consent | Local storage copy of the same choice, so the banner can stay dismissed | Until you clear site data | Percept Weavepoint Academy |
Third-party requests
Typefaces are requested from Google Fonts. That request loads font files from Google’s servers and may be logged by Google under its own policies. We do not add Google Analytics, tag managers, or embedded players. If you block third-party requests, the pages still read correctly in the browser’s own serif and monospace faces.
How to manage or disable cookies
Use the Reject button on the banner to record a refusal. You can also delete cookies and site data for percept-weavepoint.click in your browser settings, or block cookies for this host entirely. After a clear, the banner returns on the next visit so you can choose again. Browser makers document this under privacy or site settings; the steps differ between Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
Impact of disabling
The classroom pages, journal, rates, and enquiry form keep working. You may see the banner again. Fonts may look plainer if the font host is blocked. Nothing on the site depends on accepting storage in order to be read.
